Staff Java Developer SaaS

Synopsys-SIG is looking for a backend Staff Software Engineer to join our team designing and building the cloud services behind our market-leading software platform. Our tools analyze the customer's software to find issues with security, quality, and code compliance.


The platform is fully integrated into customers' environments and is part of their mainstream development and testing processes. Think of it as a product that helps software developers like you to produce secure code of the highest quality grade across industries.


Main responsibilities:

  • Design and build microservice components that ingest findings from our SAST tools into our cloud eco-system.
  • Collaborate with Product Management about feature development and maintenance, identify technical risks and obstacles, and propose solutions for them as needed.
  • Manage time effectively and estimate projects and tasks.
  • Contribute to artifact reviews of peers' solution designs and implementations, covering specifications, code, and infrastructure.
Key requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of solid Java Backend Development work experience
  • Extensive expertise in constructinginnovative & scalable platforms, showcasing a strong command of Java, Spring, PostgreSQL, and RabbitMQ.
  • A talent fortackling intricate problems, optimizing code, and identifying issues within complex systems.
  • Demonstrated passion for and up-to-date experience in producinghigh-quality code.
  • Experience building systems inmicroservice architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of how to architect and troubleshoot applications for performance and scalability.
  • Ability to solvecomplex problems using efficient algorithms.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with public cloud (GCE, AWS, Azure or similar).
  • Cloud-based architecture.
  • SaaS platform environment.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with web application security.
  • Expertise in database query optimization.
Education
BS/MS Computer Science/Software Engineering or an equivalent degree

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000-$196,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
