The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Our water resources team focuses on hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for flood and erosion risk reduction, dams and reservoirs, and other civil works projects. We also conduct long-term water supply planning and program management.
  • Provide project engineering and task level management
  • Lead and develop complex hydraulic and hydrologic modeling;
  • Perform water resources master planning and preliminary engineering studies
  • Perform dam safety studies and design including dam assessments, breach analyses, potential failure mode analyses and risk assessments, hydraulic capacity analyses and improvements design, and emergency action plans and tabletop exercises
  • Develop preparation of technical reports and presentations including visualization of data
  • Assist in water resources permitting efforts

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Previous experience in water resources engineering projects
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Experience with HEC-1, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, GEO-RAS, storm drain system analysis
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • MS degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in water resources engineering projects

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Colorado: $78,001.00 - $111,430.00
