Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Mission Strategist to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will become part of Peraton's Department of Homeland-TSA business segment. This individual would have extensive experience in supporting TSA mission requirements.

Required to be local to the DC Metro Region.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

    Responsible to drive mission innovation across the account portfolio through bringing mission subject matter expertise focused on enhancing technical solutions delivered across the portfolio.
  • Responsible for engaging with program as well as account general manager Leadership.
  • This position would be embedded within the account program team, and responsible for bringing current / relevant strategic thought leadership.
  • Role would also support account growth and expansion into other mission critical programs and associated adjacencies.
  • Responsible for supporting key program growth, delivery, and client satisfaction across the account.
  • Build and enhance customer relationships to expand programs innovation.
  • Successfully partnering and/or management of large matrix program teams and keeping management and teammates informed.
  • Manage multiple tasks and teams to accomplish program objectives and drive new business generation goals.
  • Interface with and actively participate with customer senior executives with executive presence.
  • Exceptional listening, creative, and deductive listening skills.
  • Execute and think clearly under pressure and adapt style in divergent situations with multiple stakeholders.
  • Select and manage program and business delivery staff, with a track record of consistently identifying, developing, and mentoring functional and operational leaders. Ability to lead and motivate a diverse and geographically-distributed workforce.
  • Provide timely resolution to program challenges.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required, Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 16 years' experience or Master's degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 20 years relevant experience.
  • Recent experience engaging with DHS executive leadership required.
  • Experience supporting DHS mission critical programs.
  • Strong skills in communicating orally and in writing with customers, employees, and industry leaders.
  • Ability to create executive briefings with minimal assistance.
  • Ability to analyze program objective and projects with respect to risk (cost, schedule and key customer stakeholder engagement) and develop risk mitigation plans, and take corrective action as needed.
  • Experience supporting account growth and expansion.
  • Strong mission subject matter expertise.

Target Salary Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
